Lars was a soldier after his time in school. He served nine months of military basic service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment in the Danish army. After having completed his military service Lars realized that it wasn't what he wanted , and began looking for something different. He then decided to study biology. Anette who had been employed by the military for a year, came home from a juggler's course to show him how well she could perform juggling in only three days. Lars was very pleased with this and wanted to test it. Therefore, he quit college and attended the juggler school. There he learnt juggling and fire breathing as well as other things. He then traveled with two of his friends through Europe as touring artists, performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. He was introduced into a children's circus two more years after. In the circus, he also learned the pantomime of children's theater as well as street theatre.
